I have always said that the Netherlands offers some of the best conditions for kiting, provided you are in the right place at the right time. However, with so many different spots, wind and water conditions, finding that ideal spot can be quite challenging and not always easy. Growing up, I always had a desire to travel the world and kite in all those amazing locations. However, I soon realized that when the conditions are good at home, it's hard to find a better spot somewhere else.
"The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" is a compilation of kiteboarding sessions throughout the entire season. It showcases everything from scoring perfect conditions to tackling difficult and challenging sessions due to weather changes, cold temperatures, or gusty winds. This film presents a very honest depiction of what it's like to kite in the Netherlands—some might even say it's a bit too candid. Nonetheless, it tells a genuine story, and every time we decided to film something, it became a part of the movie. No sessions were excluded, providing a true representation of the purest form of Dutch kiteboarding conditions. Sometimes they are truly exceptional, while at other times they may be a little disappointing. Nevertheless, this film portrays the highs and lows of kiting in the Netherlands!
