Shooting a cover is never easy, it requires not just a good trick, a good photographer, or a beautiful location. It requires a combination of them all. And not just that, it’s probably most important to have something unique and something beautiful to look at on its own with no context. Creating a photo like so usually takes a lot of time and effort. With this photo, the story was a little different this time since it wasn’t planned. I was In Ireland for a project of mine called the Real Stig, something I had been planning for months and we finally scored the conditions to shoot and make everything happen. This project however is a video shoot and not a photo shoot so the focus for 90% was put on creating the video and not photos especially not on cover photos.
We did one run through one of the channels that we were shooting for the movie and then the photographer Andy said to me, dude look at this I think it has good potential if we put a bit more effort into it. So, we did, I walked back we waited for the perfect lighting, he looked for the ideal angle to shoot it, and there it was a cover potential photo. And I’m super proud that the photo ended up on the cover of Access magazine!
